My mom taught me how to make a square cake pan with newspapers and I thought it’s a nice way to reuse newspapers so I would like to share with you all.

It’s said that newspapers start burning at 291℃ (555.8°F), so you can use it in the oven for baking cakes but keep an eye on it for safety. If your batter contains a lot of oil or water, please use a normal cake pan.

To make it with newspapers, you’ll only need:

・2 sheets of newspapers

・Aluminum foil

・Stapler

・Pencil

You just need to fold a newspaper several times and staple them.

Fold the newspaper in half horizontally. Then fold in four vertically.

Fold the newspaper in three horizontally and write lines as above.

Fold the corners following your line and staple them.

Done!

Lastly, place the aluminum foil sheet and all completed.

It’s simple, easy and won’t take more than 5 minutes.

My mom told me she used a newspaper pan a lot when she was a child. I never knew it’s possible to bake using newspapers. Need to keep learning from my best mom!
